wow! I need to be better about blogging!
So to keep this simple, here is what we have been up to this month:
-We went to Vegas for a quick weekend getaway at the beginning of the month. Always love to see John's mom and the family!
-We have both been pedal to the metal at school.
-John is constantly bogged down with homework from the accounting program and it's amazing to me that he just powers on through it!
-I have finally settled on a major ((family studies...so excited!)) and am absolutely loving my classes. I just figured it would be a great degree to have as having children is my ultimate goal AND it has been awesome to be able to apply what I'm learning to my marriage every day!
-Last Sunday we had a few couples over for a game night and it was AWESOME. Seriously this group of people just meshed so well and we had a great time. We've really been blessed with hilarious, kind, good friends!!
-I've had lunch with my best friend Becca at least three times a week this month and I love it. So happy I get to spend time with her!
-We celebrated Valentine's day and it was PERFECT; John woke up to a card and a present from me and then he went off to school while I got ready for the day and did some homework. John came home for lunch and took me out to Chef's Table. He took me there last year and I was sooo happy we got to go again. They gave me a rose and freshly made chocolates and poured us sparkling cider. After having tomato bisque soup to start, I had prosciutto stuffed chicken and John had Filet Mignon, and we finished it off with macadamia nut crusted cheesecake. DROOL. It was amazing. To me, nothing says I love you like an absolutely incredible meal. Haha ;) After lunch I went to school and when I came home John had a gorgeous bouquet of roses on the table. We ended the day by watching a movie and ordered a heart shaped pizza from Papa John's. Like I said, perfect Valentine's day!
-We did yet another Vegas trip for the holiday weekend and just got back today. We drove down with my parents which is always extremely entertaining. The entire weekend pretty much consisted of going out to eat, seeing movies, and spending lots of time with family. We saw This Means War, which is hilarious; I don't think I've ever heard an entire theater of people laugh that much. On Sunday we went to church and had a family dinner with John's siblings and his mom, and finally came home today!
I promise I'll keep you guys more informed/entertained! Love you all!
-Katie
