Christmas With The Chatterley's-New Year's with the Taylor's

So this was our first Christmas together as a married couple; in fact, our first Christmas together EVER!  So I know its been over a month since then, but I figured this is something I'd better write about before we forgot completely.

We spent our first Christmas with my family this year, as we spent Thanksgiving with John's.  My brother Greg was able to come out for the festivities from Chicago, Maja and Brian came down as well as Arianne and Lance.  Every year we have a big appetizer party with family, friends and coworkers, and this year was no disappointment!  Christmas Eve we went to my grandma and grandpa's home for dinner and then spent the night at my parents house.  Let me tell you, Christmas is SO much better when you are married!! The next day we went up to Logan to Arianne's house and we spent the weekend as a family there.  Here are some pictures of our Christmas holiday :) (sorry some of these are sideways!)

So! After Christmas we journeyed down to good old Las Vegas to hang out with John's family for New Years.  On New Years Eve, all 30 family members (15 grandkids!) come over to John's parent's house and have a steak and shrimp dinner. It was AMAZING and definitely not a tradition to miss.  After we met up with John's friend Nate and his girlfriend Cami, and hung out at the M casino for the countdown
here we are in our fun hats the casino was handing out
those crazy lights are the strip from where we were-it's a little blurred but I think it's still a cool picture!

John and I were truly reminded this Christmas season of how blessed we are.  We are so grateful for our Savior and His remarkable impact on our lives, for without His Atonement we would truly be lost.  We are amazed by the love our families have for us and each other, and the whole season just strengthened our marriage and gave us so much hope for a fantastic new year!! We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and we are so glad to keep continuing on this awesome journey together!

Love, Katie
